About the movie
. This 13-minute movie tells the story of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute:
  • See the institute's two locations, Fairfax and Reston;
  • Visit classrooms to sample typical courses and special events;
  • Hear brief comments by the president, vice president, program coordinator, development-committee chair, and an original founding member/former president; and
  • Discover why members are so enthusiastic about the institute.

Any of the following 'small' versions should start to play as soon as your movie player's buffer fills up, which usually takes just a few seconds. For the best picture quality, we recommend that you view the movie at 100-percent/'normal' size.

Problems? If the movie does not start playing within a minute, try switching to a different movie player (e.g., Real Player vs. Windows Media Player) if available on your computer. Or if an alternative Web browser is installed on your computer, open this page in that browser and then click on a movie link. We apologize in advance if you find that whatever you try, the download is slow ... which could occur if two or more site visitors are simultaneously downloading the movie.

SAVE TO HARD DRIVE FOR LATER VIEWING

To watch the movie in near-DVD quality and its original, large picture size, first download and save it to a location on your computer's hard drive. Over a typical broadband connection, this will take about 30-45 minutes (longer if two or more site visitors are simultaneously downloading the movie). Afterwards, you may watch the movie at any time; it will start playing instantly. For the best picture quality, we recommend that you view the movie at 100-percent/'normal' size.

To save the movie: In Microsoft Internet Explorer, right click your PC's mouse on the the movie name below and select "Save Target As...". In the "Save As" popup window, select a location to save the movie--such as Desktop--and then click the Save button. (If you use a different Web browser or a Mac, follow the specific steps for downloading and saving that apply to your browser/computer.) After the movie has been saved to your desired location, just go to that location and click the movie's name to start playing it.
